spring
The beautiful oak tree on fir street hung overhead
The colors of green leaves and the blue sky were so wonderfully wed
The morning sun shone through the branches and into my eyes
And you've never seen more the wise
The beautiful oak tree on fir street
You've seen me dance and weep
You've been here through it all - providing shade and repreieve
Through the highs and lows, you've allowed me to grieve
You wear your season so swell
I'd like to try as well
From browns to greens, from old to new
It is so beautiful to see you entering your bloom
I will come with you
it's time for us both to leave this cacoon
-au revoir winter
